MMM 10/10/16

Hi all,
I didn't get this out last week.  I apologize.  Here is this weeks.  Evaluation Code is available for all of you now. Look under To Be Aware Of section.  I'm looking for ideas to lighten the load for many of you.  If you would like me to cover your class sometime this week before parent teacher conferences to help you prepare for them, please let me know and I can see what I can do.  Also, I'm looking for ideas to incorporate some fun into each week for the teachers.  I'm thinking along the lines of after school Just Dance sessions, or Board/Card games.  Something where we can socialize one time a week/month to help us get through the pressures of this year and implementing Wonders.  What is your take on this?  Let's have a great week.

To Be Aware Of
  • Here is a link to your duty schedule.  Again, Please be seen! Especially those who are on parking lot/car duty.  You may need to step in the way to make sure cars take turns.  If you have questions, please talk to me about how I do it.
  • Here is your evaluation code.  Code 1-3 & A are on full evaluations and B & C are on the choose up to 5 to be observed on. I will schedule a pre observation training mtg for everyone so we are all on the same page.  Would it be okay for me to take 15 minutes at the beginning or end of Monday collaboration next Monday, October 17th?  Please let me know.  Any questions, let me know.  Everyone needs to do the self evaluation.  If you are not able to get on Observertab and log in, please let me.  I will have a schedule for you to sign up for evaluations by the last week of October.  It will be like last year where you can sign up via google calendar.
  • Parent teachers are this week, please make sure you check your schedule as you put it out.  Make sure to block out dinner and a break.  Contact parents who haven't signed up.  Most of you know the routine.

Celebrations
BIG shout out to Lisa Schafer for covering Jessica's class on Friday a week ago.  We weren't able find a sub and Lisa VOLUNTEERED!  We didn't even have to ask.  Way to go Lisa!!  Also, thanks to Holli Bangerter for covering Lisa's class for her on Friday.
Way to go Ryan and the Tech committee for putting together a great first Tool Time.  I've seen a lot of Plickers copies coming through the office.

Great Video of the Week
Thoughts?

Have an Amazing week!

  1. Am I the only one who sees a smaller version of this page where the video is supposed to be? Or maybe my computer is just glitching.

  2. This is too long to watch. Sorry. I haven't got the time.

  3. I like the idea of doing fun things together, but I'm not sure I'd want to stay after school to do it. I'd be fine with doing evaluation training on Monday. Finally, I thought I hated the video at first, but I liked it by the end. It's hard to hear people complain about school/education in America and not take it personally. By the end it became clear that he wasn't blaming teachers, so I felt better about it.
