This is my first attempt at the faculty blog. It will still be by the same name, but I hope through this you will be able to access it easier through your google accounts. I also like to share links/videos that I find in my personal PD that I would like to share with you. For instance, I found this that I shared via email earlier.
I've also found some pretty inspirational type video clips I would like to share with you too. I think this would be a great place to share learning and keep in touch with the goings on here.
To Be Aware Of
On Tuesday, a team of three teachers and I will be going to a presentation at the district for two different PD programs the district is trying to decide on. We will be gone for the morning. Other than that, I will be in the building the rest of the week. I hate being gone, but the reality is that there will be days I will be out of the school to meetings. I will be available those times via text, email, and phone if you need me.
I left two sheets of paper in everyone's box. They are instructions to log into Remind. It will be a great way that I can communicate with either your team or the whole faculty on the fly. Messages come in the form of a text. Some of you don't have unlimited text or a cell phone. Two options here, you can set it up that the messages I send can come in the form of an email, or you can sign up for the free Google phone number through your Google account and get messages that way. I'm not exactly sure how to do this, but Jared and or Zack (I think) are familiar with how to do it.

Celebrations
Back to School night was a great success. More people were at the parent meeting than last year. Many of you said there were more than they can remember. I appreciate all those that made it happen. You all did great in your meetings. I only attended two, but I live in the neighborhood and ask everyone how they feel about their teachers. Every comment was very positive. Thanks for all you do.
Kindergarten had their first full week. We all need to congratulate Julie and Elly. Great Job Ladies!!
First full week for Coach and Emma. I've watch both of them and they are fantastic. We truly have a great staff.
